All she wants for Xmas is a home & some love

22 Dec

Nellie, and all the dogs and cats at the Pet Placement Center in Chattanooga, are hoping for a holiday miracle — someone to come along and give them a loving home.

Nellie, a Dalmatian mix

Nellie is a pretty Dalmatian mix born November 2010.  She is smooth coated and has the characteristic black spots on white that reveals a Dalmatian ancestry.  She is active and would like a home with someone who will provide opportunities for her to exercise.  She would make a good running or walking companion and will need constructive activities to satisfy her intellect.

Nellie was rescued from a high-kill Georgia shelter.  She weighs 35 pounds.

The Pet Placement Center is open Wednesday – Saturday from 10 am – 5 pm and Sundays 12 – 5 pm.

The adoption fee is $90 which includes a free veterinary exam within 2 weeks of adoption, up to date vaccinations, tests for heartworms, heartworm medication, FELV/FIV test, deworming, flea treatment, microchip, and spay or neuter.

You can see lots of the Center’s other pets here.

We are particularly partial to Micro the cat and Pressley, a male Chihuahua puppy.

But these are all great animals, at Chattanooga’s only no-kill animal shelter at 5975 Dayton Blvd.

Call them at (423) 877-0738 and mention the Underdog Railroad blog.

And Merry Christmas to animal lovers everywhere.
